Zappito is a one-tap mosquito zapper with a spider trap
Zappito is a small arcade game from Xoivi, an indie studio for which it is the first and only listed release. A swarm of mosquitoes fills the screen and every tap sends a bolt of lightning into one of them. There is no aiming or charging up, so the whole game is about how fast and how carefully you tap.
The catch is a spider hiding in the swarm. Zap it by mistake and the run is over, which turns a mindless tapper into a short test of attention. Rounds speed up as you go, a bonus frenzy follows each cleared swarm, and PixelPicked notes that a run usually lasts under two minutes. A global leaderboard tracks the best scores.
The game came out on Android on October 18 and is free. The Google Play page says it contains ads and lists no in-app purchases. It is rated Everyone. Neither the store page nor the coverage says whether you can play without a connection, and the leaderboard will need one, so try it online first if you plan to play somewhere without signal.
Zappito is a good fit for short breaks when you want something that takes no learning at all. It is a very new release from a small studio, so expect a simple game rather than a long one.
